The model

Entrepreneurship powered by former CEOs and operators

Since the 1980s, the search fund model has proved a simple premise: capable entrepreneurs, backed by experienced operators, make exceptional first-time CEOs. The approach is straightforward. An entrepreneur raises capital from seasoned business leaders, acquires a single company, and steps in to run it with their active guidance and mentorship.

01

How I search

Backed by leaders who have built and run companies, I focus entirely on finding one exceptional business. Without portfolio pressures or rigid deployment targets, I can take the time to get the fit right.

02

How I buy

Financing comes from a mix of investor equity, conventional debt, and often seller financing or rolled equity, so sellers who want to stay invested in the upside can. Every term is negotiated transparently and thoughtfully.

03

How I operate

I move to where your company is located and step in as full-time CEO. Instead of being managed from a distance or added to a long list of assets, your business gets a dedicated, hands-on operator fully committed to its success.

Why it matters

Selling is personal. So is buying.

A business isn't just a balance sheet. It's a lifetime of hard work, relationships, and trust. I treat the acquisition process and your company's future with the respect it deserves. Here is my commitment to you.

01 Your team stays

I'm not buying a business to cut it apart. The people who run it day-to-day are the reason it's worth buying. My plan relies on keeping them in place, supported, and positioned to grow.

02 Your legacy is preserved

Your brand, reputation, and company culture matter. I start by learning what makes your business work so I can safeguard it for the long term.

03 A fair, transparent process

Transacting should be straightforward. You will always know where things stand, and I commit to negotiating openly, honoring my word, and respecting your time.

04 A dedicated successor, full-time

I will step in to lead this company personally: on-site, full-time, and hands-on. This is the single company I am buying and my career path for the next decade.

Who I am

Leadership built on accountability, grit, and trust

Private equity firms buy companies with institutional playbooks and exit timelines. I'm looking for one business to throw my full weight behind.

My background isn't typical for a buyer, and that's the point. From leading sailors aboard a Navy destroyer to analyzing company fundamentals in venture capital, my career has been defined by two things: stepping into high-responsibility roles and putting people first.

I was raised in a small Kentucky town with people who built everything from the ground up. I know what your business means to your team and your community, and I have the operational discipline to build on what you've created.

Let's talk

If you're considering what's next, I'd love to hear from you.

No commitment. No pressure. Just a conversation about what you've built, what might come next, and how I can help (even if I'm not the right buyer).
